Dried American Elderflowers (Sambucus canadensis)

By: Veteran Berries

Experience the purity of elderflowers that are hand-harvested and gently dried to preserve their delicate aroma, flavor, and natural botanical qualities.

Elderflowers have been cherished for generations and are commonly used in immune-support tea blends, soothing herbal preparations, and traditional culinary recipes. These flowers are light, fragrant, and versatile — made for people who prefer working with whole ingredients instead of pre-made blends.

Each package contains 14 grams of loose dried elderflowers, giving you plenty for teas, infusions, and small-batch creations.

Perfect For

  • Blended herbal teas with light floral sweetness
  • Skin-soothing DIY skincare like facial steams, toners, and infused oils
  • Culinary uses including syrups, baked goods, cordials, and craft beverages

Whether you’re a home herbalist, tea maker, or natural wellness creator, these elderflowers bring clean quality and tradition to every recipe.

Servings & Yield

A little goes a long way. Dried elderflowers are light and potent.

  • 1 teaspoon ≈ 0.3–0.5 grams
  • Serving size: 1–2 teaspoons per cup
  • Total yield per 14g pouch: approximately 17–35 cups of tea, depending on preferred strength

Ideal for daily wellness brews, blended herbal teas, or small-batch product making.

Elderflower Herbal Tea Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1–2 teaspoons dried elderflowers
  • 8–10 oz hot water (just below boiling, about 190–200°F)

Optional Add-Ins

  • Honey
  • Lemon
  • Dried mint or chamomile
  • Fresh ginger

Instructions

  1. Add elderflowers to a tea infuser, tea bag, or directly into your mug.
  2. Heat water to just below boiling and pour over the flowers.
  3. Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes. Covering helps retain the aromatic compounds.
  4. Strain if needed.
  5. Sweeten or blend with other herbs as desired.

Serving Tips

  • For a stronger tea, use 2 teaspoons and steep up to 20 minutes
  • For iced tea, brew double-strength and pour over ice
  • Elderflower pairs especially well with lemon or mint for a refreshing, soothing blend
